Job Description

We are currently assisting a prominent Multinational Life Insurance looking for its Head of Reward/ Reward Lead role.

The role will report directly to the Regional Director of Reward and the Indonesia CHRO, with overall responsibility for leading the Reward function in Indonesia. The scope covers managing external partners, reviewing and benchmarking compensation practices against the market, and driving the overall reward strategy and agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review and continuous improvement of the company’s compensation, benefits, and retirement programs, ensuring alignment with market practices and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and industry practices to provide relevant insights and recommendations on reward strategy.
  • Manage the annual and mid-year compensation review cycles, including salary benchmarking, compensation analysis, budget management, data validation, recommendations, and related employee communications.
  • Conduct compensation and benefits analysis and prepare relevant reports, budgets, forecasts, and insights for senior management and regional/global stakeholders.
  • Oversee benefits programs and work closely with insurance and benefits providers, including contract reviews, renewals, negotiations, and service-level performance.
  • Act as a Reward subject matter expert and trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, providing guidance on compensation and benefits matters.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits / Rewards, ideally within a large multinational organization, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; backgrounds in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Statistics, or related disciplines are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of direct compensation, incentive schemes, benefits, retirement programs, and reward practices.
  • Experience with Workday, WTW surveys, and job evaluation methodologies would be highly advantageous.
  • Good understanding of employment regulations, taxation, and compensation & benefits-related legislation and their practical implications for reward programs.
  • Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex reward data into clear business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to engage and present effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in project and vendor management.
